This Yumminess Disappears Quickly!

I made this cake this week and as you can see, it won't be around long. I used a Devil's Food Cake Mix, but the icing just makes the cake! It's my Mom's fudgey chocolate icing. Boy, eating a bite of this cake brought back childhood memories along with a few pounds. But lest you think I ate it all myself ....my kiddos and hubby have had their fare share, too. To find out how to make the icing click my recipe blog here.

Exciting Event for a Family Member! (Edited)

My niece (and her mother, my sis-in-law) met someone famous lately......to see a picture, go here.

(Edited: For some reason, the link did not work originally....should be up and running now. Sorry for the inconvenience)

In Case You Are Wondering

My computer is DEAD..."deader than a doornail" as my Dad used to say!

Ugh! To this email, facebook, blog, coupon site, google addicted woman that is bad news! But I must say my eyes feel great, and I'm accomplishing other things. Like, you know, laundry, schooling, cooking, playing games with children, etc.

My hubby brought his laptop home tonight, so I hope to get a little done in the blogosphere before I have to go to bed. Please don't give up on visiting here...I hope to be back soon!

Cuteness! Sweetness!

Two of my hubby's sisters (he has four) have been making bow t-shirts with matching hairbows (pictured above) along with other crafty items for several months now. They have decided to take it to the web. I love their work and want to spread the news to everyone. I wouldn't want you to miss out on the cuteness!
If you have young daughters or buy gifts for girls these are adorable and reasonably priced. You must check it out! Head on over to their blog here. They're just getting the blog up and running, but you can watch the slide show of products. To contact them, email them at bow4aprincess@yahoo.com .

Yeehaw!

We are visiting North Carolina. We lived here for 7 years before we moved to SE Alabama. It is so fun to see old friends and visit all the places that were our home for so long! But best of all.......its SNOWING! We haven't seen snow falling since we left here 4 years ago. Our son has NEVER had that pleasure. But today, they've not only watched it snow, they played in it! We are so excited and grateful!

I'm Not Gone and I Hope I'm Not Forgotten!

I have had writer's block or should I say blogger's block. Even though I 've been busier than ever (I thought things were supposed to slow down in January), I haven't been able to think of anything interesting enough to blog about.

I mean, do you want to hear about how many closets I've cleaned out or how many loads of laundry I've done? Do you want the juicy details about our homeschool day or the meals I've been cooking? How about my new coupon venture and how I've become obsessed with clipping them? I have turned into a bargain hunter and my hubby has been heard to call me the coupon queen.

But please don't forget about me....I'll be back in the bloggy mood soon. In fact, we're taking our kiddos on a snow skiiing trip next week....and I'll be on the slopes for the first time in 7 years. That should be fodder for a post or two! I just hope I don't end up reporting that I've broken my tail bone.

Happy January y'all.

I Stole This From Tonja's Blog!

It's so true, I had to copy it to my blog! Thanks Tonja.

And, I'm happy to report that my house has been reorganized and cleaned this week....I mean, it makes sense...I haven't been blogging! It feels good to have everything back in its place for the new year. We will start back on schooling on Monday free of nagging clutter and dirt!

Does the beginning of a new year motivate you to get down and dirty in your house? Does it inspire you to rework your schedule? Does it prompt you to reprioritize? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
