The President of the United States

The President of the United States visited our little part of the South this weekend. Because our community is near the airport which he flew in and out of, we were able to watch Air Force One fly over our house. Last night at church our pastor pointed out how fun it was to wave at Air Force One and what a special thing it was for him to visit our area. We appreciate his visit and are so grateful that he came to help this area grieve the losses caused by the tornado. But as aware as we were of his visit, he didn't have a clue who we are.

However, THE King of Kings before whom all Presidents and kings will someday bow, knows me. He is not a distant dignitary who rules from afar; He knows me intimately. He knows my name. These lyrics by Paul Baloche are fitting:

I have a maker
He formed my heart
Before even time began
My life was in His hands

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He see each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

I have a Father
He calls me His own
He'll never leave me
No matter where I go

He knows my name
( I'm so glad I can say)
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

And He knows your name
He knows your every thought
He sees all those tears that fall
And He'll hear you when you call

Yes, He does know my name. He knows my every thought, my hurts, my needs, my failures. He knows what a desperate woman I am and still He loves me - never tires of hearing me say, "I need you!"
Isn't He amazing???
Thanks for sharing that song - it is one of my favorites, too.

Hey girl. I couldn't agree more. Thanks for sharing those lyrics. No matter what happens, I'm going to be fine cause He knows my name.
