It's so true, I had to copy it to my blog! Thanks Tonja.
And, I'm happy to report that my house has been reorganized and cleaned this week....I mean, it makes sense...I haven't been blogging! It feels good to have everything back in its place for the new year. We will start back on schooling on Monday free of nagging clutter and dirt!
Does the beginning of a new year motivate you to get down and dirty in your house? Does it inspire you to rework your schedule? Does it prompt you to reprioritize? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Absolutely! I like to start the New Year with my house in order, so as I take down and pack away our Christmas decorations, I do some heavy cleaning. Thankfully, my house is pretty small and I can knock it out quickly. Ah...there's nothing like the feeling of calm and order when I flip the calendar.
Sure. I hadn't really planned on doing any purging, but one thing led to another. My room is still in desperate need of help:( One year I'll get to it.
Hi,
This is my first visit to your blog and I love it!
I love the New Year and the fresh start it represents. I just got my Christmas decorations down and am working on organization!
You are so right. Starting the new year with clean home just makes for your mind to be clutter free. I am loking forward to completing mine.
Yes, it does inspire me, and I really feel the need to get in there and really clean and organize, and get everything in order!.....but, usually if I lie down for a few minutes, it passes...and life can go on as usual! :)
Yes..I love "a place for everything and everything in its place". Mrs. Brinkley said this and I have never forgotten it.
That was too cute!
I enjoyed visiting your blog for the first time. I came over from Joyful Journey.
You have a beautiful family! : )
That cartoon is too funny! I think I might "steal" it myself! I am not necessarily motivated by the New Year, but every three months or so I get the urge to purge the house of all the clutter.
