Our Trek - Day Three (July 22)

I guess day three was the official start of the trek. Having stopped in KC/MO to pick up my parents, we left at about 6am and headed west. We traveled across Kansas to Colorado. My Dad and hubby enjoyed the Magellan GPS that Daddy bought, and we quickly named her Maggie. We always laughed when Maggie didn't like our wandering from her prescribed journey. She would say, "make a safe and immediate U-turn!"We enjoyed our drive across Kansas. I thought the rolling hills of hay and wheat and sunflowers were beautiful. We stopped at the Colorado state line for photos, including one of our modern day covered wagon. We sighted mountains in the distance at about 3:00 pm. We stopped in Limon, Co at the KOA for our first night of camping. It was a tad warm during tent set up, but cooled off nicely for a good night's sleep.(photos by Leah Belle @Sweet Tea are copyrighted and may not under any

Have you seen the movie RV? If you haven't, rent it. It is hilarious and you will now appreciate the GPS system Robin Williams has in the movie, he calls it Lola!
